Absolutely love your pacing and your voice is perfect for this book!
This audiobook pulls you in fast and never lets go, blending alien abduction, survival, and betrayal with deep emotional stakes. The characters feel real, the twists are surprising, and the narration is immersive. I felt tense, invested, and honestly didn’t want it to end.
Listening to Soulsucker was thrilling and completely gripping from start to finish. Jeffrey Simmons weaves an intense story of alien abduction, survival, and betrayal that kept me on the edge of my seat. Robert Woody’s dynamic and immersive narration brought every twist and suspenseful moment to life. This audiobook made me feel the tension, fear, and excitement as if I were living the adventure alongside the characters.
I just finished listening to the entire audiobook. Once again, you gave an outstanding performance. Your ability to bring life and colour to the black-and-white words is truly remarkable. I love the voices of each character and am in awe of your skill and consistency.
Love your style and enthusiasm. It's also good that you can pronounce Spanish as there are a few Spanish sentences that people say and are usually translated by Cate in the story.
The narrator, Robert Woody accurately projects the emotions and mystery around the Moonlight Mansion and its rich existence. Further, Woody accurately captures the sense of loss and emotion for each character in the storyline from Jane to Max to Emily to their father’s sister. He speaks clearly and concisely. His delivery intensifies the mystery and the moments of the supernatural in rich tones.
The pacing is tight, with a steady build toward a genuinely nerve-wracking climax. Woody’s controlled, textured narration complements the material perfectly.
I felt pulled in as the tension built between strangers facing the unknown. Aiden losing control and Lena questioning her beliefs stayed with me. The narration made Elias’s unease feel close. It left me reflecting on trust, and I would recommend it.
This audiobook genuinely surprised me because it felt so alive and personal while I was listening. The narration was smooth and expressive, and the sound work made the tension and strange environments feel real, like scenes playing out in my head. You can tell a lot of care went into how this was made, and it pulled me in emotionally from start to finish.
Listening to Soulsucker had me on the edge of my seat—I couldn’t stop imagining every twist and betrayal. Jeffrey Simmons’ intense storytelling, combined with Robert Woody’s suspenseful narration, made the alien encounters and survival scenes feel thrillingly real.
The performance really helps sell that feeling of being trapped. The narrator has a way of making the silence of Lee Hollow feel like a character itself. By the time I reached the final chapters, I felt just as exhausted and desperate as Hale did. It is a bleak, effective look at what happens when your own mind and your environment turn against you at the same time.
This atmospheric horror completely pulled me in. The narrator brilliantly captures Reverend Hale's growing dread as he realizes escape might be impossible.
The narrator really sells the dread, especially the quiet moments. It lingered with me long after I stopped listening, which is exactly what I want from a good horror story.
I was worried that the heavy religious themes might feel preachy, but the narrator’s grounded delivery made Reverend Hale feel like a real man on the brink of a collapse. There is a specific gravelly quality to the voice work during the scenes in the Victorian mansion that makes the "No Vacancy" sign feel like a physical threat. Every time the protagonist whispered a prayer, the narrator’s choice to keep the tone shaky and uncertain really raised the stakes for me.
